Tom Kurlander & Pale Blue Sound

Singer-songwriter Tom Kurlander formed Pale Blue Sound in Los Angeles, CA while pursuing an acting career. He taught himself to play guitar and began writing songs in college.

As an actor, he's appeared in Kindergarten Cop, Young Guns II and Flatliners, as well as dozens of tv shows and commercials. In 2012, he moved to Pittsburgh where he launched a new version of the band with the current members. 

Tom Kurlander’s music is a soulful blend of singer-songwriter storytelling, infused with elements of folk, rock, and Americana. His work, showcased across platforms like YouTube and Spotify, carries a raw, introspective quality, marked by thoughtful lyrics that explore personal and emotional landscapes. Tracks from albums like Sugar Burn Sessions feature soaring guitar solos and dynamic arrangements, balancing driving rock energy with melodic resonance. His sound draws comparisons to artists like Bob Dylan for its poetic depth and the Rolling Stones for its gritty edge, often weaving catchy choruses with vivid narratives.
